British values
The four definitions of British values are as follows:

These values reflect those that the Business School promotes to all its learners through the Code of Conduct

- Help our learners understand the importance of mutual respect and to understand how they can contribute positively to those the lives of those in the locality of the Business School
- Celebrate difference and promote diversity
Encourage an understanding of the difficulties other cultures face, where such values are not respected - Encourage learners to accept responsibility for their behaviour, to distinguish right from wrong and to respect the civil and criminal law of England
In order to enable this, the Business School will:
- Show leadership and accountability in providing staff development and training to enable them to support learners’ understanding of these values
- Hold meetings where everyone is valued, included and made aware of their responsibilities in line with policies and procedures
- Encourage learners to have a voice that is listened to and valued, to feed back to us through surveys and to show mutual respect through our behaviour policy
- Utilise opportunities such as general elections and debates to promote British values and help learners to argue and defend different points of view
