Matt Holden, ACA

Matt Holden, ACAMatt has lectured at Reed since qualification in 1999. He specialises in the Financial and Business Management papers and the Case Study. He enjoys the challenge of giving students a real – life context for the abstract concepts they face in his subjects.

Jenny Winstanley, ACA

Jenny Winstanley, ACAJenny has lectured at Reed since 1999 and before that at FTC in Manchester. She specialises in Financial Reporting and Audit. Jenny takes pride in her technical knowledge and is totally committed to the student’s performance in exams. She has the ability to encourage students to achieve their potential in her subjects.

Lynne Woolley, FCCA, CTA

Lynne has taught Financial Accounting and Tax at Reed since 2007 and prior to that at BPP in the Channel Islands. Lynne has achieved excellent pass rates in her subjects in that time and a reputation for encouraging all students to enjoy their studies and love Tax.

Pete Woolley, FCA

Pete started at Reed in early 2011 having worked for over 9 years with BPP as a tutor with several management roles varying from centre manager to UK Operations Director. Before that he worked for PwC for 8 years in Leeds and New Zealand in the audit and transaction services departments. He specialises in Finance/Management numbers and words, and has a passion for honing study and exam technique to get the very best performance from his students.

Caroline Fowler, ACA

Caroline specialises in lecturing taxation for all the main accountancy examinations and also lectures on accountancy and taxation practical courses. She has over 12 years of experience in training accountants. Caroline is enthusiastic and has an ability to explain difficult technical concepts in an easy to understand manner.

Ross Mackinnon, ACA

Ross studied law at the University of Edinburgh before pursuing a career in accountancy, training as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Reading. He began his training career with Kaplan Financial, delivering both practical and exam-focused training to accountants from the Big Four firms and finance professionals from multinational corporate clients. Ross went freelance in 2009 and regularly teaches for Reed, focusing on Audit, corporate governance and case study/T4

Robin Pincott, FCA

After studying Maths at Bristol University, Robin joined Deloitte & Touche and qualified with the ICAEW in 1996, becoming an audit manager and training manager. He then delivered professional exam and CPD training for ATC and BPP. More recently he has been a freelance business and training consultant. His experience includes Sarbanes-Oxley consultancy work and financial training for numerous large and small companies and all the Big Four accountancy firms. Robin specialises in IFRS and UK financial reporting and audit.

Steve Darnell, FCA, PGCE

Steve has been involved in professional accountancy training for over 20 years. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton, and spent some time working in a training. He then moved into exam based training, working as a lecturer for BPP in London, before transferring to Reed College (now Reed Business School) in the Cotswolds. Steve stayed at Reed for some ten years, progressing to the position of Senior Lecturer. A move back to BPP then followed, teaching mainly in Oxford and Reading, before becoming a freelance lecturer at the start of 2004. Steve now teaches for a variety of organisations, in this country and abroad. He specialises in Financial Management and Management Accounting.

Charles Tuffin, ACA, MBA

Charles adds a commercial dimension to his many years experience of lecturing across all examination bodies and has taught most subjects in his time. He has sat on examination boards and was a managing director at ATC (now part of Kaplan) - He knows the whole examination process extremely well .Originally with KPMG, he also spent time with a three partner practice and therefore understands practical auditing at all levels. This all makes him well suited to the higher level papers in particular. He teaches ACCA P7 Audit and Assurance for Reed.

Brian Benton, LLB Hons

Law Society Qualifying Examinations Head of Law - Matthew Boulton College, Birmingham.  Brian has lectured Law at the Business School for many years on ACA and ACCA. He has been a marker for ACCA F4 Corporate and Business Law for 7 years. He is also a Local Magistrate who sits as the Chairman of the Bench.

Dan Tuckey, ACA

Dan qualified with Coopers and Lybrand In Bristol and joined FTC in 1991 where he taught on both ACCA and ICAEW. In 2007 he became a freelance tutor teaching ACCA P3 and ICAEW Advanced case study. Dan is also a marker for ACCA F5 and a writer of both ICAEW and ACCA material. Dan is an enthusiastic tutor with a passion for his subjects and a reputation for getting the best out of his students.

Rob Salmon, FCCA, CTA

Rob qualified with BDO Stoy Hayward (1998-2001) having gained 4 years experience within their Owner-Managed Clients department. He then went on to work for BPP Southampton where he was director of Chartered Courses. In 2010 he became a freelance tutor and currently teaches on the ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, ATT and CTA programmes.

Paul Davis

Paul has worked as a strategic management and human resources consultant for the past 20 years. As a management and human resources consultant he has conducted organisation and strategic consulting activities, designed, developed and run management development and coaching programmes for clients in a variety of sectors in Europe, South Africa and England. He has lectured on management and strategy to students studying for the ACCA and CIMA qualifications for 17 years and brings his ‘real world’ experience to illuminate the subject matter

Jackie Duxbury, ACA

Jackie qualified in 1983 and after working in the profession for several years gained practical experience with a wide variety of organisations in the financial and other sectors. She has been involved with the Case Study since its inception in 1994 and marked for the ICAEW. Jackie has built up an international reputation for teaching how to pass the Case Study and regularly teaches for Reed.

Hannah Starling, ACA

Hannah qualified in 1997 with Ernst & Young where she worked as a senior manager in the audit department. She spent two years on secondment to the Ernst & Young Melbourne office and a year on secondment to the recruitment and training department in London. She joined BPP in 2003 where she taught a range of financial accounting, auditing and law papers at all levels for all the major accountancy qualifications. Hannah is now a freelance tutor and also writes training materials and regularly teaches for Reed.

Tom Hewitt, ACII Chartered insurer, Dip.

Tom worked for Wesleyan Financial Services from 1978. His career has been based around sales and administration staff development including professional qualification training. He qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1996. He is involved in designing materials and lecturing many Financial Services qualifications and has a fun, interactive style of teaching that has achieved excellent results.

Nick Cunningham FCIB, FPFS

Nick is a full time training consultant with over thirty years’ experience in financial services. He runs courses, both UK and offshore, to help students with competency development and examination support. As a Chartered Financial Planner and holder of FCIB and FPFS, Nick offers training in IFS Dip FA and a wide range of CII subjects. He has an open and interactive style of teaching which consistently produces a high level of success.
